“For our vacation the Blue Butterfly Cottage was the perfect accomodation. We had everything we needed and Bret was an excellent host. He offered his help all the time and was always making sure we had a great experience. We especially liked the fact he offers various activities like Ziplining, Riding- or Night-tours directly on his beautiful and extensive property. “On the property lives 2 roosters which are very loud (and beautifull). And you have to feed them otherwise they will scream non stop. They start to beg for food around 4 am. Plus there is no hot water in sinks which makes living very uncomfortable (no dishwasher as well). If you want to have a nice shower - forget about it! Showers have electrical warmers and you have to use small water presser to make it work. We got no hot water in both bathrooms when we arrived. Later shower was fixed in……

“This was an absolutely breathtaking place to stay at. A place where you could just spend all day in the house and be totally content. Amazing views! We just spent a lot of time getting rid of little critters and bugs. The host gave a very well detailed message the day we booked this VRBO about the property, which made checking in and finding the house easy. We messaged 2 days prior to arrival and then again the day we checked out but did not receive any replies. The host does provide a WhatsApp……

“This place was great. Extremely close to the cloud forest reserve. The property manager went above and beyond. We got a home made breakfast brought to us every morning that was delicious. She arranged adventures for us to partake in nearby and followed up when a shuttle didn't arrive as previously scheduled. We had a wonderful experience at this property and highly recommend booking with Christina and supporting a Costa Rican if you are visiting Monteverde!!! You won't be disappointed.”
