“The home was beautiful and felt very new, up-to-date and modern. The home, as well as the location, were lovely and peaceful. We were in the area for a wedding and had other family members in another VRBO. We were all able to come together (apprx 16 of us) at this home for hamburgers on the grill and to sit back, relax and enjoy marshmallows over the firepit later in the evening. ”

The owner thought of many small touches that I never dreamed would be in the house, such as blow dryer, laundry products, even hairspray. It was nicely decorated for the season as well. “Check in and check out process super easy. Cathy was once nice and responsive to any questions we had. We loved the house. Decor is adorable. It’s remote as mentioned in the listing. Little to no cell phone service. WiFi was ok. We didn’t mind at all. It was enough for us to communicate with our families at home if needed. Backyard is so cute. Lots to do. 3 of us attached a float to the dock and enjoyed some sun. It’s a fast flowing river keep that in mind if you choose to do the same. It’s a……

“Technicolor retreat was a great relaxing getaway. The home is lovely and the location on the river was so relaxing after a day in the Dunes or Chicago. It felt very secluded and private. We can’t wait to go back. We were able to take our golden retriever who loves all things woods and water. Wish we could have stayed longer! ”

“The area was super quiet and pitch black at night. The tent was cute and perfect size. We however did not end up staying. It was super smokey, when I opened the stove to add wood even more smoke poured from it. Being from eastern Kentucky those are what we had and they shouldn't do that, so I'm thinking the pipe was getting clogged. If not for that it would have been super cozy.”
