“Great home with lots of windows overlooking the lake. Large kitchen, dining table and living room. Comfortable furniture except the bunk beds but they would probably be fine for kids. Everything was clean and well kept.We appreciated the selection of board games. Lake is good for fishing and nice to have use of kayaks. Close to Shawano, with lots of restaurants and fun things to do. ”

“Everything about the place was great. Pool was amazing, kitchen congregation worked for the 11 of us. The place needs a little more care with a little house maintenance and yard maintenance. That did not interrupt anything on our stay but we wondered how beautiful it must have been back in the day. Just letting anyone know that there are a lot of stairs, for anyone elder. All in all, it met our needs and we had a great time! Also very nice big yard for playing outdoor games!”

“It was a beautiful home set close to everything of interest. The claw foot tub was a huge bonus. All appliances and amenities were great. The only thing I would recommend is turning the front room into an actual bedroom with a bed for elderly that can’t do the stairs. Art and flowers were beautiful. ”

“Stayed during the NFL draft. The host was great with communication and kindly allowed an early check in. The place had an old cabin type vibe to it. Definitely served its purpose as we weren’t there much and it was affordable and a 15 Uber to Lambeau. ”

If you expect this to be a new modern lake "house" with the amenities of home, then you'll be disappointed. Any bad reviews appear to be people who wanted a modern lake house for a vintage cabin price. It has a window AC and plenty of fans. It was in the 90s and we were comfortable. “We had a wonderful stay at this home in Appleton Wisconsin. The home was clean and spacious, and the yard well landscaped. The neighborhood was perfect for a daily stroll, quiet, and close to shopping and restaurants. The kitchen was stocked with spices, salt and pepper, dishes, decent pots and pans, baking sheets, muffin tins, etc. Spices are often not provided in similar rentals so that was a major plus.
