“We absolutely loved staying at Sawyer Cottage! The house was clean and was exactly as pictured. Beds were comfortable, and the backyard was amazing. We walked around the neighborhood which is a beautiful, quiet, and remote slice of the world and also did a day trip to more exciting on-water activities. Even so, our kids wanted to move in to Sawyer Cottage and said that roasting marshmallows and swimming in the pool were the best part. Host was kind and very responsive. Would definitely go again!”

“The location of this hotel is ideal. Close to Michigan City, New Buffalo and a 5 min walk to the lake. The hotel offers so many things for the convenience of the guests. We stayed in Suite 11 which happens to be the only room with direct balcony access overlooking the pool which was great. We had 1 bedroom and a couch with a pull out bed. The bedroom bed was excellent however the pull out bed was sub par. Extremely uncomfortable. There was no maid service or turndown service like a normal hotel……

“Cool beachy vibe, easy in and out access. Walking distance to beach and close proximity to local coffee shops and wineries. The space was cozy and sort of like an extra large hotel room with full kitchenette. If you are looking for something different than the common hotel definitely recommend. The only thing i would change is the shower head...plenty of water pressure but thats just one simple easy change. We loved the stay.”

“When our son’s high school baseball team found out we would be playing the semi state tournament in Laporte, we had 3 days to make arrangements for the weekend. Instead of the overpriced, basic hotels in Laporte, we opted to go north about 20 min for Sarah’s home. We’re so glad we did! The 5 of us had plenty of space, slept well on her comfy beds, enjoyed the peaceful neighborhood & of course, the hot tub! We also ate at Stop 50 pizza (literally right around the corner- just walk over!) In……

“Nicely decorated apartment with everything we needed. Convenient location, within walking distance to market square/downtown. Hosts were pleasant and very quick to respond. The only issue was AC units were having trouble keeping the apartment cool in the summer heat. ”
