“This was our second stay at The Getaway. It's such a perfect place for us- close to Okoboji, a nice swimming pool and a playground. The accommodations are clean, eye appealing & have everything you need for a comfortable stay! The Cornhole game was a fun addition!”

“For our 1st family vacation, we wanted a location within driving distance from our 2 cities. This was perfectly situated for that objective. The Pond House, located in a very nice neighborhood, was very clean and comfortable and met our family’s need by providing both areas for togetherness, but plenty of space that allowed for separation. It had plenty of green space to fly kites on a very windy day, and the quiet street provided opportunity to use our scooters. The driveway was long enough……

“Wife and I booked for a little lake getaway for our wedding anniversary. The place was extremely clean and comfortable. It’s right on the water with a beautiful view. It’s in a nice safe, clean, location. The host left us a nice note and some welcome treats. The neighbors were all very friendly and we enjoyed some chit chat when outside. We enjoyed sitting and relaxing out on the covered patio. I had fun fishing off the dock and using the putting green. Was still very easy to get to……

“Had everything we needed for our short stay. The bed was firm but comfortable. ”

“Overall was extremely dirty with rust, mold on the bathroom ceilings, chipping paint, tiles falling off the shower walls, carpets that felt oily. Hallways smell damp. The staff was very kind, though. Beds were okay. Smelled clean. Unfortunately the pictures did not match the state of the rooms. I do not think there is much that could be fixed here without major repairs. ”
