“We had a good time in the house. It is very spacious, confortable overall and the grounds are lovely. It was very suited to our group with people of all ages and the location is great to visit the Lakes.Only downfall : the house needs TLC especially in some of the bathrooms.We also encountered problems including wifi and hot water system. But the property manager was reactive and did her best to solve them when possible.”

“We had a very enjoyable 4 nights at Lind End Cottage. We were warmly greeted by Janet, who was very friendly. The cottage was clean and very well laid out with a wonderful view from the dining room.The bed was comfortable and a good shower plenty of hot water and at a decent pressure.On leaving Janet called in to see if were happy with everything and to chat about our bike rides and walking trips. Thank you again Janet for a lovely stay.”

“We hired the bunkhouse for two nights of birthday celebrations and walking. Great location with stunning walks right outside the door. Wainwright’s Inn is a few steps away, as is the co-op with its little cafe upstairs. I hope to make our stay an annual event. Highly recommended!”

“Please don't go by the pictures, they are just of the bedroom and kitchen. The rest is like living in the roughest neighborhoods of Uk. There's dirty nappies, old carpets, rubbish & mattresses, all across the street. Most of the properties there are boarded up. There's NO parking. The property management didn't have our place ready until 7pm on the day of arrival. We had to sit in our car to wait for them. We had driven 6 hours, from the south. It was raining and we were tried. When we……

“Overall we were very happy. A very cute upside down cottage with unbelievable views. A train track runs in front, which was busy, but all trains were four carriages or less and very quiet. Two minor issues - the oven and microwave were not clean, the downstairs bedroom and bathroom smelt and felt damp (putting the heater on during the day, but off at night, resolved this). The biggest problem for us was the bath/shower. I am 5’9” and couldn’t use the shower at its highest but could at least……

“Had a great long weekend at the property. Had loads of stuff there to use the kitchen to its full potential. Was lovely and warm and everyone had plenty of space in the accommodation. We were able to celebrate Christmas with my mum who is going to Guatemala next month and won’t be there. A few tiny tweaks will make this a perfect let but already great as it is.”

"The location is great and nearby the ferry pier. But the hotel is not in good maintenance at room, the toilet ceiling have a lot of dirty water marks, it looked disgusting. I booked a lakeview room that cost £250 a night, but not worth it, the room is really dilapidated, even they don't have a refrigerator at room, I needed to keep my birthday cake in their restaurant. The room price wss including the breakfast but it was lack of choice, they serve breakfast until 10:30 am, when I ordered scrambling egg with smoked salmon toast, they said no more but I saw other customers have it, I thought smoked salmon and egg are very common foods in a hotel restaurant, I wondered why they can tell me no more stocks. I just can say this hotel not worth for money, they are overpriced. Staffs are not really friendly. "
