“We will definitely be back. It is a very thoughtfully prepared cottage-stay. It is a serene place with stunning views from the back and runner-ducks for the children to spot and enjoy each morning. Lovely little village with amenities, nice pubs and walks not far away. All rooms are very comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. Lovely bedding, hot showers and black-out blinds in all the bedrooms, no stress! Thank you very much for the birthday cupcakes and loaf! Thank you for a lovely weekend. ”

“Cant fault any aspect of our stay. From the beginning to the end it was excellent. Sarah is an amazing host and the communication from booking the property till the end of our stay was 5*. “Was an incredible stay, the views fromThe shepherds hut was remarkable and the hut was lovely and spacious. Super clean and such an amazing weekend stay ! The sunset view from the hut was beautiful. Super quick drive into Keswick town as well! Spent a lot of time so long in the views whilst watching the baby lambs run and jump in the field.”

“The cottage was cosy and had everything we needed. A minor niggle, but it was a bit cluttered with cushions and throws in the sitting room - the throws just slid off the leather sofas and the cushions were too big and too many, so were surplus to requirements. The location suited us very well, with a host of lovely walks and places to visit nearby. We had a wonderful break and can recommend!”

“Photos certainly do not do this house justice. We were a party of 9 adults and one dog and we had so much space. We particularly loved the huge kitchen table where we spent lots of time chatting, playing games etc. Highly reccommended.”

“I wouid recommend this property but would make sure other guests jnow there is nothing within walking distance and a car is needed to get ro the nearest pub/supermarket. The property was lovely but the blinds needed dusting, there were dirty towels in the washing machine and the laminate on the tables was taped up.”

“Very nice place, we felt like at home here. Everything was clean. The apartment has everything you need, you can cook, you can relax. The town is beautiful. Shops literally across the street. Cheap parking right next to the apartment. The owners are very helpful and answer all questions very quickly. I would definitely go back to this place and I highly recommend it. “I'm sure the people who have taken over this Hotel are trying their best to bring it back to the way it must have been when it was in its former glory days. The staff are very friendly and helpful under the cicumstances, the rooms large & comfortable with plenty hot water available. The rates are very good considering the proximity to the Lake District with good transport connections on the doorstep. Needless to say but I'll be back !”
