“Very traditional 500 year old Tudor house. It’s beautiful. Has its quirks - sloping squeaky floors, uneven walls, nooks & crannies & so much history! The landlady is a fabulous baker, serving up all homemade mince pies, millionaires shortbread & a homemade bread as part of breakfast! She even makes her own jams & chutneys - I bought 2 to bring home. It’s like staying in a home from home. It’s warm, welcoming, cosy & so homely. Plenty of parking space outside, lots of wildlife roaming in the……

“The rooms are located on the floor above the public bar and eating areas. You can book an evening meal if required. The room was quiet, clean and comfortable with no disturbance. Nice breakfast served by friendly staff.”

“This is a lovely hotel, with charm and character. Staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were cozy, clean and warm, which was great as it was freezing outside! The bathroom also clean and in good condition - the shower was great! The location was also better than we thought - we were able to get to other lakes and towns, a shopping outlet and even the coast within 30-60min drive. The only 'quirk' with this hotel was that at each breakfast, we got a different portion size, despite ordering……
