“Spent 2 peaceful nights at the Melbreak Hotel. It was really handy for exploring the Lake District which we were happy about, the only downside was the 4.30pm check in time which we thought was quite late but we still had a lovely time. All the staff we spoke to were friendly and chatty.”

När vi kom dit så höll man på med renovering och vi blev initialt placerade i ett rum som inte alls motsvarade våra förväntningar. Personalen var som alltid tidigare helt fantastisk och de löste ett annat rum till oss. Även om det finns många bra matställen i Cockermouth så tycker jag att The Trout har riktigt bra mat, så vi åt de……

But above all was the standard of service and friendliness of the staff. A fabulous hotel.”

“Very quiet, cozy & comfortable Inn. Although located in a remote area of Lake District, easy to find & can reach other spots easily. Must try the dinner at the restaurant which is very good with reasonable price. Only the towel rack in my room is not working which is a minor stuff. Furthermore everything in the breakfast seems overcooked.”
