“Matt was very helpful and has a lot of good suggestions for things to do in the Lakes District. Location is excellent and you can walk to town in a few minutes, which has a wide range of shopping and dining. The nearby foreshore is beautiful. The only thing that wasn't quite as expected was the parking, which was challenging to find and on occasion, took a lot of time to find something within a hundred yards or less. The property details stated that parking was included, but there is no onsite……

“We thought the hosts were really lovely and the location of the guesthouse was ideal for us for walking. There are two pubs within walking distance which serve fantastic food: Coledale inn and Royal Oak. However, we had a downstairs room and seemed to have been really unlucky with the guests upstairs who woke us up every hour during the night. Thankfully, we were only staying a couple of nights as we were absolutely exhausted by the end. Would recommend a stay, just maybe ask for an upstairs……

“We had a wonderful stay. Our room was small but very comfortable with views of the hills. The tea and coffee choices are the best I've ever seen anywhere. Lorna is a lovely host and makes the best breakfast with plenty of choices. The location is approx. 15 minutes walk into Keswick and the Threkeld trail, just down the hill, make walking there better away from the traffic. We would definitely recommend Brookfield and hope to vist again. ”

“Maple Bank is a gem of a place. Super location literally 100 yards from a bus stop, which has an hourly bus right through to midnight, with a £2 fare cap! We chose to walk in to Keswick one morning which took about 50 minutes. Check-in was great and informative, outlining options for breakfast for vegetarian & vegan choices. Breakfast was superb with quality ingredients. All freshly made. Room was perfectly equipped and had everything you could need. Great range of local toiletries. Highly……
