Breakfast is delicious and served in your room. I highly recommend to stay at Portovella Lodges and Bungalows when visiting this part of Douro Valley!”

Se optar por fazer refeições no Hotel, o serviço de restaurante é excelente, com pouca diversidade, mas com qualidade de excelência, muito bem confeccionada e as sugestões do chef são excelentes. O local inspira á tranquilidade rodeado de natureza, espaços muito bem tratados e limpos e onde os nosso animais de estimação são aceites e muito bem tratados por todos. ”

“A very old and tired hotel. Room had not been aired for a long time so smelled damp and musty - I had to open the window as soon as I entered the room. Old furniture, old and dilapidated bathroom / shower. Span and gym not available. Swimming pool available but costs €18 for a swim! I dont expect to pay as a guest of the hotel. Breakfast OK - coffee cold.”

“This guest house is in an old tiled house with many steep steps and approximately 8 rooms. It is charming, very clean, has excellent owners who speak many languages, provides a good cold breakfast and is in a quiet neighbourhood with local shops and cafes within a block’s distance. Our room, number 5, had a comfy double bed in a charming rounded room with very high ceilings, small bathroom with good water pressure, and traditional wood shutters.
