“I've stayed at Manuela's 4 times now on each trip to Lagos and it's become my home away from home. I love the place. It's quiet and understated yet has all you need- pool, gym, spa and best of all an authentic Italian restaurant that has great pizza and pasta dishes... the owner is Italian and eats there with his Italian mom every night... their high standards ensure the finest imported Italian ingredients and delicious, perfectly cooked food... as well as liquors (grappa!) and excellent……

“The upsides: The room was great - roomy, beautiful and with one of the most comfortable beds ever! The staff was very helpful. I have never sent out my laundry at a hotel before and was a bit skeptical, but I got it back the same day in excellent condition. “Overall, a great place to stay in Lagos if you're on a budget. It is a nice, small hotel located off a quiet street on Victoria Island - this is important as several of the hotels in the area either have night clubs on their premises or nearby which makes a good night sleep fairly impossible. The staff is wonderful and very accommodating - they jumped right on every request (e.g. laundry service, wifi issue, etc.) and also stored my luggage when I was traveling for a week.
