“Here for the week of Thanksgiving. Property just as pictured, communication with owner was perfect. Everything you need for cooking your on meals is stocked in the kitchen. We used the Blackstone on the deck often. Ate dinner at the Waterside a couple nights the food there is excellent. Sat on the dock watched the sun sets. Would book again.”

Even though we were there in the winter, everyone had fun in the hot tub, making s’mores and videos on different parts of the property. “Build in some time for check out cleaning - especially if you have the whole place occupied. “We visited the lodge for a thanksgiving family getaway. The rooms and house are very spacious. Vrbo’s description of the house was very accurate. The owners of the home are very nice, welcoming, and are timely in responding. One negative I would give is the housekeeping of the house. It needed more of a “detailed” cleaning. This property could also be more handicapped friendly as far as entering the house. Overall, it was a great stay and would recommend to others. ”

“A wonderful place to stay! This was our first time at Lake Gaston and it did not disappoint. The house was clean and spacious but we spent most of our time outside on the covered deck- our favorite part of the house. We love that the home was dog friendly- our pup loved lounging on the covered deck and dock with us. We enjoyed using the paddleboards and kayak for swimming during the day, using the grill for burgers at lunch, and lighting the fire pit at night. We loved the privacy of the dock……
