“This house is gorgeous, almost as pretty as the property it sits on. Perfect for a getaway teenager birthday party with lots of space and open concept layout to see all.The hike was a bit harder than expected to river but wow, a lot of work and effort went into that trail. Unfortunately we were maybe a bit early for morel mushrooms :)It is a bit dark in kitchen at night but with all the LED lights and sorting through the many remotes to control them, it definitely is colorful. Perfect……

“It was a little too cold at night to sleep with the windows open to listen to the river as we slept but the rain on the roof made up for that. The only bad nights sleep was when we thought we needed to set our alarm to wake up early. We never set the alarm the rest of our stay. The neighbors to the left put up a no trespassing sign so we couldn’t walk along the river back and that was sad for us. But the home was great. Would definitely rent this home again. ”

“We had a relaxing weekend away at the cabin. The inside was beautifully appointed and the kitchen was perfect for cooking. We spent the evening in the hot tub, listening to the waterfall and soaking in the beauty of the surrounding trees. Being close to Seattle, it was easy to get to but felt like we were far away. We can’t wait to return! ”

“We rented this house for my daughters wedding at Machias Meadows. My wife and I as well as the bridal party stayed here. There was lots of room for everyone. We did use an air mattress or 2 but nothing was cramped. The first night we lost power for about 5 hours because of a fallen tree and after I sent Joe a message he was able to give us updates on timeframe to get it back on. “It was a good stay. We definitely stay again. It was very comfortable. The kitchen was spacious and had everything that we needed. The vets were comfortable. It was a great value for the location.I think the only issue was the window shading. With it getting light at 4:30 in the morning it was a little bit tough to keep an infant asleep past 5:30 AM and not as private as I had hoped. Hopefully the addition of some blackout curtains or a couple of additional window panels would be the trick.”
