“A lovely spot by Colgate and next to a reservoir! Saw loons and other wildlife. Had some issues with the cleanliness of the place upon arrival and had to go get some supplies that were not available. With some care and attention, this will be a lovely weekend getaway.”

“This is our 2nd time visiting this home. We come to visit our son, who is a student at Colgate and in the Colgate orchestra. The hosts are so accommodating and wonderful! The house is squeaky clean and so comfortable. We have already booked it for our next visit in April. ”

“We were a family of 7 traveling with a baby. Maureen and Jim provided us with great accommodations!Their place had everything we needed to relax with family. The kitchen is well equipped to make meals and there is also an extensive binder with great information about restaurants and attractions nearby. The house was immaculate, cozy and comfortable. Thank you Maureen and Jim! We would love to rent from you again.”

“We have been visiting the area for the last 3 years as our son is at nearby Colgate. We have rented many homes for weekend visits. This was by far the nicest experience we have had,Just a beautiful large comfy home. Immaculately clean and well stocked. Ping pong in the basement kept the kids occupied during a rainy weekend. The large streaming TV was great for Netflix movies.Comfortable beds and large dining area. Oven was great for chocolate chip cookies.Oh, and the view of the lake is……

“I lived on the west shore for 15 years before 2000. I knew the magic of the lake in Spring, before the schools were out and the motorboats roared past. The road was narrow and crowded, and summer folk found their camps again. Friends found peace and quiet away from the city of Syracuse. Quilting was done, and meals could have been obtained in the town.”
