“Truly! It’s a quiet gem of a house. Off the 243 highway but very close to town. The outside was a bit more wild than we would have liked with 2 sightings of coyotes in the morning and early evening. Besides that, the house and amenities were great. Communication was great with the team when we couldn’t figure out the AC so overall a winner! ”

“Such a great location with a view and beautifully done cabin. The whole property is spotless and kept clean with a fence providing some felt security without obscuring the natural environment. Everything you need to enjoy a getaway with your pups. You are five minutes from town and have privacy from neighbors. The property manager was on top of communication and very accommodating. Pups are welcome at most businesses in town except the little grocery. Be sure to bring your own shower amenities,……

“It was a wonderful experience in every way. Booking was easy and all the information we needed was provided and easy to understand. The place exceeded our expectations. It was pristine and well appointed, We loved the kitchen and dining area. The views of the mountains were spectacular! The guests' every need was anticipated.We look forward to our next stay.”

“Perfect for the 2 of us and our pet Chihuahua. If you like lots of trees, birds, and squirrels with high bushy tails, this is the place to stay. Very close to downtown Idyllwild and also close to Taquitz Peak and Humber Park. Take a stroll on Ernie Maxwell Trail if you want an easy hike. We went halfway from the north end in one day and halfway from the south end on another day. We drank coffee from our Little Cabin coffee mugs every morning...nice gifts to take home!”

“We loved the ambience of the cabin and the amenities in the kitchen. The bed was so comfy! We’d step out on the back porch and listen to nothing but birds singing and trees blowing. We’ll definitely be back!”

“Loved hanging out on the wraparound deck with its high quality furniture. Kitchen was excellently stocked. The beds and couch were very comfortable to sleep on. ”

“This place was magical. The owner was generous and kind. My three year old loved the kids bedroom. The upstairs loft has three twin beds, kids toys and books. This place would be ideal for multiple families or a large family. My family of 4 loved it and didnt want to leave. ”

“What a wonderful place! My best friend and I had a girls' weekend away and we could not have been more pleased with this lovely cabin. It's cozy, comfortable and very well appointed. We did not lack for anything.Larry is a considerate and thoughtful host. Special shout out for the new sponge in the kitchen! My always pet peeve is a sponge that you don't know where it's been. I usually bring my own, but forgot it this time. What a great surprise to find that! I would add another star just……

“Clean and spacious cabin in a good location. The cabin is comfortable and features a large deck with a BBQ, table and seating for 4. Everything was as advertised and in good working condition. The drive to town takes about 3 minutes, we also walked it once and it’s an easy one mile stroll.We ate breakfast and some dinners on the deck where you also get to watch birds and squirrels.Communication with the hosts was quick and efficient. Check-in and check-out were a breeze.”

“It was a very relaxing and restful stay. The cabin is very cozy. I really like that the hosts are so pet-friendly. Jay is also very accommodating and lets you know of plenty of things to do in the area. The cabin was stocked with everything you could need in the kitchen, and the rooms are all very well furnished/decorated. ”

“The amenities were fantastic and the neighborhood was so quiet and walkable! Very easy to access all the fun stuff Idyllwild has to offer. There were a couple things that weren’t in tip-top shape (the hot tub cover, the antique juicer, the lighting in the bedroom), but easy to overlook because of the gorgeous view, the lovely bathroom and fully stocked kitchen. Wonderful time!”

"I recently stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Golf Resort Palm Springs with my family for vacation and my experience was quite disappointing. The bathtub in my room was clogged, which made it extremely difficult to take a proper bath. It ended up taking a very long time to shower, which was very frustrating. To make matters worse, my family members who stayed in a separate room also experienced similar issues with their bathtub. For a hotel of this reputation, I expected better maintenance and attention to such basic amenities. I hope the management takes these issues seriously and improves their facilities to provide a better experience for future guests."
