“The cabin is modern, warm, and cozy. The hosts provided everything we needed during our stay. The ocean is a short and easy walk thru the dunes and native plants. The path is maintained. Beautiful sunsets from the beach and the patio. Trails around the property to walk our pup.On the morning of our departure we saw a bald eagle at the edge of the dunes. The cabin has a telescope so that was fun to see closeup on our last day.”

“The house is in a wonderful location to walk to anywhere in town, and has great river views. I was very impressed with how clean and organized it he space was. Lots of thoughtful details in the living room of furniture pieces with multiple uses. Communication with the hosts was also prompt. Love having a little green space around the property as well. ”

“Great place to stay and very conveniently located. There was construction across the street so initially it was difficult to find street parking. Once the construction workers left we were able to park right out front. Beautiful view and we had a family of mule deer (including two fawns) eating the flowers on the lawn. Very special.”

“Simple, clean with everything we needed in the kitchen. We had our dog, and there is really nothing a dog could ruin, which was perfect. We used the firepit in the pretty backyard. The beach was maybe 3 minutes by foot down the street. Now, if you want fancy stuff and major streaming services, etc., this wont be you place, but if you want big sky and back to basics it's a great spot. "Town"(Westport?) is about 6 miles down the road. ”

“We had a wonderful time with friends. It was a short drive to every place we wanted to go. Jack's Mercantile was amazing and we enjoyed the Cranberry Museum. Being elderly, next time we'll get a two bathroom place. The door lock was a challenge at times. We were able to relax and I didn't do any yard work which needed attention.”

“We had a great stay at the Happy as a clam cottages. The cottage was very nice and clean. Being able to eat a few meals in using the full kitchen, BBQ was a plus. The location was perfect for our interests (it is very close to 2 very fine oyster farms/restaurants, several state parks, and a short drive to both the bay and oceanside of the peninsula. We would highly recommend.”

“Wow! What a beautiful, clean and comfortable stay in Octopus Lair!!! Our family absolutely loved all the details in the house and appreciated the comfortable beds. It was nice that so much was provided for use in the kitchen: coffee, pods as well, sugars and powder creamer. All the ziploc bags and foil and wrap to store leftovers was so nice. The area was great and the house provided lots of entertainment. Thank you so much for letting us use your beautiful home ”
