“If you are staying here for the secluded location and proximity to nature than this is a great place. The stars are beautiful at night and if you’re lucky a friendly neighborhood dog will visit you on the porch. It is Located 45 ish minutes to red rocks state park. However, the place could have been cleaned better as there was a half drank beer can on the grill outside, cheerios on the kitchen floor and a sock behind furniture. “This cabin was exactly what we were looking for—remote, private, and peaceful. It had all the essentials to make us feel right at home, and the amazing views added to the experience. My favorite part was the bonfire, which made the evenings extra special. Shirley was incredibly helpful and responsive to all our questions, making everything so smooth. “My family, 12 lb dog and I stayed here to get away from the New Year's ruckus. This was an excellent way to do that. The house was very spacious and comfortable so we settled in quickly. The weather was very cold when we got there, but thankfully our host left us heaters in our rooms and we had them on while the house warmed up. The neighborhood itself was very quiet and it got really dark at night, so we were able to see all the stars.The only downside would be there was a lot of dog fur from……

“In the area for a funeral. The cottage gave us lots of room to be together and relax. The beds were comfortable with extra pillows, and plenty of plush bath towels. Kitchen was well-stocked. The unit had some cleanliness issues (dog hair, cobwebs, hair in shower), but otherwise was a perfect stay. “Nothing about this review is personal. I think it's only fair that people have the info before spending time & money. When arriving, we initially thought our stay would be in the cute home next door. Though the address I was given wasn't the next door address, we thought surely we wouldn't be staying in someone's back yard. We were wrong. Parking is in the host's driveway, behind their personal vehicles. We were reluctant to park there because we didn't want to block anyone in, but the host……

“Everything at this house is good. Except the hot tub filter looked pretty nasty. So that was a disappointment as it was one of the main reasons why we booked this house. We didn’t go in it. And the silverware drawer is hard to open. It does have an awesome view. ”
