“First I can not say enough about the staff at Kohea Kai. They really made us feel welcomed from when we first stepped onto the property. Nestled right across the street from the beach and minutes drive down to Safeway and Foodland, this was the perfect location for us on our trip in Maui. It was also 8 mins from our first surfing lessons. The room was big, comfortable with a nice kitchen. While it did show some signs of age, it was lovely and homey and our kids loved it. “The pros are the hotel has great facilities for families, they have some really good slides for the kids, an arcade room, a Starbucks nearby and also car rental. There are two restaurants onsite and a few others within proximity. I also like the lobby area where they have a couple of tree swings, chess and some activities for the kids. “My recent stay at this hotel was a good experience overall. The location is excellent as it is right on the beach, with beautiful views and easy access to the ocean. “Perfect accommodations for a family of 5 with younger children. Easy access to the pool from the unit. The unit was even nicer than it was in the photos! Also, the unit had beach items for use that made for easy beach trips. Would highly recommend and would definitely come back on another trip to Maui. ”
