“This home was in one of the most incredible settings we’ve ever experienced. It had everything we needed to keep us comfortable, plus the most gracious hosts. It is in a very peaceful setting with 360 views of Iceland’s beautiful scenery. It’s a bit of a drive from the airport, but once you’re there the home has great proximity to everything in the golden circle. “This property made us feel like we had the best of Iceland all round us and it was just us. When you think/dream about Iceland you think peaceful, untouched, natural. From horizon to horizon beauty! This place had amazing views from the kitchen, dining, patio, and hot tub. Coming from a hot summer home to chilly Iceland we were acclimated to heat. This place had no lack for ways to heat the place. We had a cozy fire (easy to light). Plenty of bedding. The hots were wonderful and quick to respond……

“West Rangá Lodge is located on a river close to Vik. It is renown for salmon fly fishing. We were only there for one night, but were able to see a fisherman catch a salmon. We went down the road to see the fish ladder that is used for the fish to climb in order to spawn. We enjoyed the clean room and amenities. Breakfast was delicious.”
