“ I wish we could’ve stayed longer but unfortunately I had to swap out the overalls for a suit and tie and back Chicago. The bird songs will be just a dream! My dog Mickey now knows the word canoe and will miss jumping in and out and dozing off while we (my husband as well) lazily paddled around! We (all three!) will definitely be returning! I think we will try to stick with bears den cottage as Mickey will love remembering the property! We had rabbits and ducks and amazing bird sounds. The……

“Was nice and clean, owner stocked us up with extra towels to accommodate our stay! Even had the AC pre-set so it was cool during the heat wave when we arrived, We would come again.The only issue is that the loveseat can be sticky if sat on for long periods of time.”

There were plenty of towels and the entire property was clean and ready for guests. The owners were easy to communicate with and we definitely hope to return.”

“Loved this little secluded cottage. Was nice it was far enough away from everything but yet close to restaurants and anything else that you needed. Didn’t realize it was right on the highway but still seemed quiet despite the trains which never kept us awake thankfully. Had a nice view of the river and bluffs which made for some beautiful sunsets. Loved the little details and decor throughout and the shower was very nice.
