“As a travel agent I like to do a lot of research before choosing a hotel. When I found this hotel there weren’t many reviews, but they were all five stars. I see why. “Residence zelzar is perfect if you want to experience amalfi coast with less tourists. The town is very cute with lots of ceramic shops and excellent food. The room was well equipped and clean and the management communication was excellent. We had a wonderful time here. Very high up on the hill but easy to drive down with a car or catch the bus. Don’t underestimate the cafe bar royal where we had a free coffee and croissant every morning! Excellent pastries and very friendly. ”

“The location was perfect and the views were amazing! Easy walk (or shuttle) to the center of town for shopping or dining. The breakfast buffet was so good! We liked that Maiori is one of the quieter towns along the coastline - with options to travel to Amalfi, Positano or Capri Island when we chose to do so. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to get away from the crowds.”

“We stayed here for 3 nights they were extremely friendly and helpful. The location was just enough out of the way to not have big crowds but close enough that you could catch the bus, taxi and ferry to everywhere. Definitely recommend ”

“Hotel just next the bus station.There have many restaurants and supermarket nearby. I booked sea view with balcony but not high enough not really see the sea. All the soap,shampoo....is disposable that not good for environmental protection.There is no save box in the room. ”

“I had a lovely stay at B&B Umberto. Annalisa was very helpful and responsive. I used the recommended contact for airport transfer from Salerno which was cheaper than local taxis and very efficient. The room was very comfortable and clean. Location is perfect with lots of bars and restaurants and the local train station on your doorstep. The room was serviced daily. I enjoyed the morning coffee and pastry on the balcony. Great value for money, highly recommended. I will be back for my next Amalfi……

“Fantastic place to visit Amalfi coast. Away from the tourists Cava de' Tirreni is a real Italian town. The hotel is an old palace, our room was superb with all amenities and our host Dario went out of his way to help. One warning, a car can be expensive to park. But the train connections are very good.”

“The entire property is unique and secluded among the hilltops. The food was excellent. Prepare for a bit of travel to get to the tourist locations but well worth it. Try the deli down the street for a little charcuterie in the afternoons. Love this hotel!!”
