“Overall good experience. The cabin could have been a little cleaner (refrigerator, dishes, showers). The a/c-heat didn't seem to work but it wasn't terribly cold and was able to make do with the fireplace. ”

“We had 4 adults and 13 players on this trip. We never had any issues with not enough room. All the girls had a blast. The house was close to town but far enough out to feel private! I highly recommend this for future stays. ”

“The property is exactly as pictured. The water acce. There ate 2 dogs on a near by property that are litter mates and play but they are trained for an invisible fence and were no worry when we walked our dog past. I wish we could have enjoyed the outside more but were were there for Thanksgiving and the weather was cold. The cabin stays toasty warm. This shouldn't even be called a cabin, it was gorgeous!ss would be wonderful in warmer months.”

“Three brothers and two wives met at the Lake House for the Sand Hill Crane Festival in Birchwood. First, the festival was so interesting and fun and a must do if you like birds. Second, the cabin was fabulous! It was a cold weekend but the fireplace kept us cozy. The bedrooms were very comfortable; the kitchen was well-stocked with cookware and utensils; the view of the dock and lake were fabulous. We saw hundreds of sand hill cranes closer up than at the festival viewing site! It was too cold……

“Overall the place is nice however I did have a few gripes about this listing. Off top it is not a huge issue but I feel should be disclosed that this property once booked requires you go through a secondary site which then requires a deposit for possible “damages” although I get the cause I feel this is not transparent in the booking process through VRBO and should be made known prior to booking.The place is spacious, clean, well stocked with what’s needed and beautiful natural light throughout……

“We had a nice time, enjoyed FCF State Park. On plus side, very comfortable place, good bed, nice wraparound porch. On the minus side, small bathrooms, outside furniture needed cleaning (maybe keep cushions inside until use?), lighting throughout not good for reading.”

“It was clean and cozy. There were some lamps not working and a little darker throughout then I would have preferred. We would not use the frying pans to cook, they should be replaced. Very ni e overall.”
