“It was a cold and dreary weekend, but warm and cozy in front of the fireplace at this home. We had a wedding in this town and was able to visit and gather with family and friends at this home and at the wedding. Communication with host was adequate. Plenty of towels, kitchen utensils and pots and pans and even a full supply of spices. There are no overhead lights in this house. More lamps, stand lights brighter lightbulbs would be helpful.”

“We stayed here once before, and it was just as perfect as last time. The house has everything you could possibly want or need: Games, puzzles, ping-pong, table, kayaks. It has a view in every direction and lots of spaces together in smaller groups if you want. But possibly the best part is that it’s in the woods with no visible neighbors, and a view of the lake. Checking in and out with the host is super easy as well.”

“We actually came in after being displaced. The owner, Dean, was prompt in every reply or question we had, and had no issues at all with us bringing odder pets than cats and dogs. (A small parrot breed and a reptile terrarium.) “We had 6 adults, aged 22- 53 stay at the house. It was clean and you can tell Germaine put a lot of thought into it. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a nice meal. We really appreciated the nice towels, for the shower as well as the hot tub! Numerous members of the group commented on how awesome the first floor shower was! Only about 10 minutes from MSU! “This property was so cute! The decorating was adorable, and the lake view was so beautiful! It was my sister's bachelorette trip, and she wanted a short, cozy weekend getaway, so this was the perfect spot for it. “Matt is a great host. Nice cottage with an up north feel. Kids loved the games, movies and playing by the lake. Colder temps so they couldn’t swim but just off the shore looks to be all sand.. Had a fire by the lake our second night. Definitely will return and do some fishing. Can’t beat the sunset off the lake whether your inside in the rocking chairs or sitting on the deck overlooking the lake. Great peaceful weekend! ”
