“My granddaughter and I stayed one night recently when we came to see Laura Ignalls birthplace. The tiny Alden house was perfect for us. It was clean, bed was comfortable and what I always like it had a ceiling fan.Chuck,Elan, Oscar and the chickens were great hosts. Chuck and Elan were very kind in leaving a gift for my granddaughter. Thank you for our nice stay at your tiny house .”

“Cute cozy cottage in a peaceful neighborhood. Grandparents and young kids both enjoyed it!”

“Host communicated well, made the process very easy. The home is older and it’s a little loud sitting between RR tracks and main thoroughfare. It wasn’t fancy but served our purpose well. ”

“Overall super impressed with the beauty of this home on the Mississippi (aka Lake Pepin). Gorgeous views, tons of birds, river/lake activity to watch, peaceful settings on either side of the home to enjoy outside...except trains. Lots of them. Because of where the home sits in relation to the town of Maiden Rock, the horn blows RIGHT at this location. “This was the perfect little oasis in town to get away with my daughters! We loved the eclectic Bohemian style and the clawfoot tub definitely a highlight! We visited the Laura ingalls Wilder museum and cabin unenjoyed exploring the beautiful pond and willow trees across the way. We enjoyed breakfasts on the back patio. With all the greenery around us, we felt like we were the woods. It was very quiet and comfortable. Would definitely recommend.”

“What a fun place! Plenty of room. We played foosball had a fire outside. We enjoyed the fireplace too. We hadn’t anticipated no TV though. You might want to add that to your description. The water is definitely smelly, so we truly appreciated the 40 bottles of water you provided. Definitely a great place for a girl’s weekend or family reunion!”
