“proximity to the freeway was very convenient, while the neighborhood itself was very quiet and peaceful. checking in was simple and quick. i really appreciated the ammenities like the washer and dryer and the tea kettle.the unit was very clean and comfortably furnished. ”

“It took us 10 minutes to find the front door. I had to call the owner twice. It was in the back of the apartment complex facing the woods. The light over the doorway was out and it was too dark to see the entrance to the apartment. We walked in and walked out immediately in tears. We ended up in a hotel. There is NO furniture in the living room or dining area. I do not mean limited furniture, I mean NO furniture and no TV. The picture of the fireplace that is used in the advertisement....that is……

“Centrally located property, within walking distance of movies, art galleries, and plenty of good eats. However, the place needs a little TLC. The floor was peeling and uneven. The bathroom seat was sliding off. Worse, the barnhouse doors trapped several members of our parties in the bathroom. Curtains in one of the bedrooms did not close, letting in light and sounds from the passing trains.”

“This was by far the coolest place I’ve stayed…very comfortable & truly modern amenities! Wish we had more time to stay. Host was great…provided detailed & clear instructions & was so hospitable! Truly great experience! ”

“Check-in was quite blotchy and late due to the host being on a cruise and not being able to get messages to me easily. But finding out that the front door had been left unlocked for me 'as to be convenient' was extremely unsafe and unnerving to enter at that point. It was a nice location, nice neighbors, but excessively compacted yet quite. The rental was very clean. The mattresses/beds were both terribly uncomfortible and "springy" maybe worn out or just not made well. The bench in the bedroom……

“My favorite place to stay when in Winston-Salem! Great location, beautiful, clean and well equipped 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment on the edge of Old Salem. Second bathroom is just outside the 2nd bedroom. Walking distance to 4th Street/downtown and Old Salem area. The only minor downside is the entrance to another property adjoin the main bedroom and it can occasionally sound like they are in the bedroom with you when on the stairs. ”
