“Our time at Mad River Inn was incredible from start to finish. Brandon and Susannah were extremely helpful and gracious hosts . They greeted us at the door and attended to every need we had from snacks, to restaurant and shopping recommendations, to a brief history of the property. Some special highlights of the experience included the hottub, gameroom, unlimited tea, extremely comfortable king bed, and delicious, decadent home-cooked breakfasts. “Very atmospheric inn, nice seating room areas with games, fireplace, the host puts out tasty deserts in late evening, great breakfast with a view of the mountain. Only thing to consider is that this hotel is not in the shuttle route. If you are ok driving - everything is very close - the town, the mountain.”

“We had a great time at the Maplecroft Bed and breakfast in Barre, Vermont. Our host was very accomodating and the room and breakfast were both outstanding. There was a big snowstorm while we were there, which required me to sweep off/shovel out my own car (to which I would never object). However, we then left for the day and I wonder what might have happened if we had returned and found someone else in the parking spot we had shoveled out, requiring us to do it all over again. No other guest did……

“A really nice B&B ! The Lounge area/Dining room and Fireplace are beautiful. Hannah made an awesome breakfast assortment in the morning. The bed/firmness of our mattress was a little soft, and the foot traffic from the room above us was excessive due to a late night check-in. I would suggest placing a sign right on the 2nd floor beds about not wearing shoes that affect people below. Otherwise, great location and good value.”
