“What a great place to stay close to Middlebury college. My wife and I were visiting our son at Middlebury college. We brought our Labrador Retriever. What a great dog friendly neighborhood! Brian was very accommodating and even let us check in hours early. It was great to have a fenced in yard. It's a quiet and beautiful neighborhood! We will always try to stay here when visiting our son. ”

“We wanted to stay in a place that allowed us to travel to other towns and states. It was a pleasure to return each day or two depending on far we travelled - we did a 2 day stay in Montreal. It was private and provided all the feelings of being a home away from home. ”

“Rented for three nights with my family to head to Killington. Location is just about 15 mins from K-1 Base so not so bad especially if you leave early to head to mountain to avoid trafic.Appt was clean and cozy, Bob was always available on text if you had concerns or missing something in appt.would recommend for 4 people, not enough kitchen stuff or table big enough to accomodate more.Overall great getaway for a few days”

“Quick get away for Husbands birthday. Very quiet with relaxing indoor and outdoor spaces. Wished we had longer to stay. Easy drive to do activities in the area and return to this private beautiful home. The view were beautiful from the deck.”

“The cabin is very cozy and clean, maintained very well by the Property Manager. It is literally 3 minutes from Pico Mountain and no more than 15 from any part of Killington. Robert, the property manager, is very accommodating and communicative. This is the perfect getaway if you’re looking to spend most of your time out and about on the mountains or in town.The ONLY complaint, and a very minor one at that, is that when the radiator kicks on in the main room, it sounds like a boulder landed on……

“I was in the area for the 250th anniversary of the Green Mountain Boys' assault on Fort Ticonderoga and stayed for two nights at "Camp Howard".I had the best time, it's a really cute yet very spacious cottage, remote and yet easily accessible along a private road.It was truly refreshing to not have cell service, it took me a few hours before I truly relaxed.There is a river down below the back of the cottage and I fell asleep at night hearing the noise of the water.Great property in a wonderful……

“This place is spectacular! The views of the lake are better than the photos and change throughout the day with changing conditions. We saw a bald eagle fly by twice!! The house is small but very cozy with a comfy living room and lovely gas fireplace. It has a great sunroom overlooking the lake, nice little yard with picnic table and a dock. The kitchen was well equipped. We would definitely like to come back. Just a note.. bring drinking water as the tap water is not okay to drink but was……

“Overall we had a great stay. The lake was beautiful and the house was great for our group. The only negatives were that the road leading to the property is probably not possible for anything besides an SUV or truck. I feel like this was explained in a level of detail that did not do it justice. The only other downside was that the beds were quite uncomfortable. Other than that we had a great time and the home more than accommodated our group!”

“Thank you for sharing your amazing home with us! After a period of personal crisis, getting away, far away into the woods!!, was exactly what I needed. We loved eating on the deck. The cabin was spotless. It has everything you could need. A few items for potential guests: the cabin is up several stairs. Once you are in it, it’s fine, but I know my mom would not be able to make it up and my daughter who recently had knee surgery had to take it slow. You’d want 4pm if you came in any colder……

“The property was a great location to the college in Castleton!! We had a group of 10 family members and the accommodations were great. All of the beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed… even a hair dryer!! The lake view was beautiful!! Would definitely stay again!!”

“my family and I had a great time in this cabin. we seek out unique rentals and this truly is. close to Rutland, close to Killington. and the sugar house set up is so cool. awesome trip.”

“Ultra clean and organized. Everything is labeled and you can enjoy things like the hot tub and hiking trail whenever the mood strikes. Great views. Located off the beaten path. Ripton is a quaint, storybook Vermont mountain village. I hate to leave such a good review as it will make it harder to book our next atay. ”

“This is the second summer staying at this house and again it was perfect . Plenty to do close by and on the lake water was warm and nice sandy bottom for kids to swim . This house has plenty of games and lawn games for families . The host is excellent ! Looking foward to next year !”
