It was tucked away in our own secluded area but was still close enough to Rome to allow us to easily enjoy the events at the college, shopping, etc. The house was clean and looked exactly like the photos, including the beautiful pool and backyard area. “Our overnight stay at Cozy Nest at Hummingbird was fantastic! Booking was easy, communication with the owner was easy, getting to the house was easy, and best of all was that the house was in perfect condition when we arrived! The house is exactly as described, and is immaculately clean! The king size bed in the master bedroom was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on in any rental, and the pillows and sheets were perfect too!! “The house was good and served our needs. Bedrooms were good size and there was plenty of common areas. The listing needs to include the fact that there is a family that lives in the basement. That was quite the surprise when there were no parking spots the first 2 days and the family was having birthday parties those days. Also, the showers need some type of non-slip surface as they are extremely slick. Overall the house was good and filled our needs. Also not a huge fan of the automatic Ring……

“The property was spacious, comfortable, well-equipped, and uniquely decorated with horse/cowboy/wildlife decor. I tried to sit in every area of the deck and the house, but I ran out of time. All twelve of us had plenty of room to hang out together or spread out. Our only small fail was not getting the sound to play in the small movie theater. Subtitles worked for everyone except the four year old. Ha! Maybe include a little sheet for turning on the DVD player and the sound system for non-techies……

“The location is good and if all you want is a view, this place is for you! That did not disappoint. However, there was no furniture on the top deck to sit outside and enjoy. There were lots of dead bugs laying around and hair still in the shower drain. Many lights were burned out or broke. No heat for the 2 bedrooms in the basement and the lows were in the 30s/40s. The basement was equipped with an old style arcade gaming machine which was a big hit! The trash can on the outside was already……

“The check in process was extremely frustrating! An online security profile must be completed prior to check in, which I did 3 weeks prior. The property manager called me a liar after he could not locate the profile. After proving him wrong and giving him the opportunity to apologize an apology was not received.
