“We had the pleasure of staying at The Gem while visiting family in Bovey. It was such a beautiful location (that is saying something considering we are from Alaska) with everything you could need. We had a wonderful time fishing on the lake and were quite successful. The sunroom was a fantastic surprise on arrival. We look forward to staying again while visiting family in the near future. ”

“We booked the cabin to celebrate my mother in law's 60th birthday. We all had a blast swimming, fishing, and boating around Pokegama Lake. The cabin had a real up north feel to it.”

“Check in was easy, checkout instructions were clear, host was very helpful and timely with responses. The lake is nice and the area is pretty, there's a couple things to do in town but we mostly stayed in the cabin. Overall it was a great trip and I would stay here again.”

“Beautiful area with very rustic cabins. No TV here, but I regard that as a plus. A few things needed tending , like some window/door screens, but that was no big deal for us. Nice to have the kayaks Available to take out on Pokegama Lake.”

“Beautiful property. I'm pretty sure the pictures were updated on the listing after we booked so we didn't know how good the dock was. Had I seen those pics I would have had a rental pontoon delivered to us which is readily available in the area. The 2nd bathroom is very strange as the walls don't go all the way to the ceiling and it is directly next to the kitchen. Did not feel private at all. Other than that, it was perfect and just what we needed for a weekend getaway. We would book it again……

“Our family of 5 (kids 10 months to 10 y.o.) had a great time! Added pontoon for added/improved swimming options and quiet lake tours to end our nights. Used provided fishing gear and the kids caught some nice sunnies, smallmouth and northern! Home was large and inviting. Plenty of space. Kitchen was large and well stocked. Plenty of extras so that I didn’t need to pack my entire kitchen. Lots of outside toys/floaties/bikes/kayak to keep us busy. Had fun on rainy day playing music via Bluetooth……
