“This is an old merchant house that has been nicely remodeled as a hotel. It's smack in the middle of Tomonoura's historic renewal district. The room I had was spacious, comfortable, and nicely designed. This hotel requires some pre-planning: getting the shuttle bus from Fukuyama, making sure basic needs are met (no onsite staff, except at breakfast time). “last minute booking… what a surprise! Beautiful hotel and location, excellent service. Some of the hotel is a bit dated but was nostalgic for me. Kinda like Hawaii 5-0 old series feel. The view was incredible!!!! Will be back when the wisteria is in bloom across the street as well as to enjoy the beach! ”
