“This was such a cute little apartment. It is attached to the Milecastle Pub, which has very delicious food. A portion of Hadrian’s Wall is within walking distance. I would definitely recommend.”

“We loved sitting out on the patio area, watching the goings on around the place, the tv wasn’t on at all. Visited Brampton for some excellent food and loved the Lanercost Priory when we visited there. Miltonrigg woods was just 2 minutes drive for a lovely dog walk as well. Could have done with a parasol on the patio when the sun was strongest but our intention was met for a few days of chilling. The staff were all friendly and we had a lovely breakfast at the cafe on our departure. ”

“The cottage was overall comfortable and fine. The outside area wasn't in a good state. Dead rabbit parts in multiple places. Hotel reception had the worst of it removed when requested. Outside bench wasn't very sturdy. Facilities inside were better, good TV, comfy bed, good water pressure, well stocked kitchen and appliances. Bathroom lacked cleanliness with a few mouldy areas. ”

“The location of Gibbs Hill Farm is amazing. It is located on a large farm and is very quiet and very beautiful and catered to our needs. The property is clean and comfortable. Valerie, the owner, is very friendly and we enjoyed our chats with her. We would definitely stay here again if we returned to the area. ”

“The pictures do not do this place justice! We had a superb time. The host is so helpful & welcoming. So quiet, view is spectacular, the beds are very comfortable, the kitchen is perfectly equipped. We will certainly be returning. ”

“The property was amazing and owners very flexible around arrival time and departure. Couldn’t fault it and would definitely choose to stay again. However very confusing that received 2 invoices - 1 from Homeaway and another from Crabtree and Crabtree. Confusing as to what was being paid for what. Slight problem with accidental damage to a door, money taken from my card within 2 days of departure and I was told C and C would negotiate with owners even though I informed the owner myself on……

“Lovely cottage in Greystoke. Very nice outdoor swimmingpool nearby. Not far from a lot of nice places to visit in the neighbourhood. We visited the house of Beatrix Potter, it was very special. Nice house when you travel Sith your dog.”

“Lovely quite country location, off-street parking & all the comforts of home. Near train station if public transport is required, however noise from trains was not an issue. 'The stables is ideal for a couple with small kitchen if wanting to cook.”
