“Perfect for our visit. The host is responsive and accommodating. House was clean and spacious, and had everything needed. The beds were comfortable. Steps away from Parrot State Park walking trail. A quick drive takes you to a cute little downtown area with plenty of options for a drink or lunch. We had a nice dinner at Sullivans Supper Club. Would stay again. “The rental was clean and spacious. It had everything that we needed. Worked well for our small family. I visted with my wife and our 2 and half year old. It felt like a rental not someones home(thats our preference for vrbos). They even had a small box of toys which my son enjoyed. Its not overpowering but you can tell the owner is battling mositure and humidty issues so might be an issue for some renters if sensitve to that type of thing. Near decent bars and restaurants, quick drive to winona……

“Great house with amazing location on the river. Communicating with Jon was a breeze and the property was great - making a perfect base camp for a weekend of adventure with family. Close the Perrot park, walking distance to the historic Trempealeau hotel, and unbeatable river views. “Great house for our family group of 12. The kitchens were well stocked for cooking, which we did a lot of. The house was very comfortably furnished. It was easy to gather as a large group in the family room or dining room, but also lots of space to be by one's self. The last morning of our stay, we all ended up in the front room just talking before we left.”

Every piece of furniture and every lamp tells a story—but what truly made this stay unforgettable was the hospitality of the 80-something host, a former chef, who graciously prepared a beautiful and heartfelt breakfast ceremony for us. His kindness and attention to detail gave our journey a sense of home and heartfelt care. Thank you for not only providing a charming place to stay, but for making every guest feel seen, welcomed, and cherished. This will remain one of the warmest memories of my travels.
