“The building / Bed and Breakfast Inn…was there during the battle of Gettysburg and was used as a hospital for wounded soldiers, The rooms were very comfortable and authentic for the 19th Century giving one the feeling of traveling back in time.”

“This charming old home was lovingly restored by the hostess, Amanda, who took the time to personally greet us and satisfy my curiosity with a tour of the house and it's history. The decor was carefully chosen to provide just the right welcoming and confortable feel for her guests. Big fluffy towels were provided and everything, including the dazzling Chandler's were sparklingly clean. Snacks, tea, coffee and water had been thoughtfully included. “This is an exceptional property with an exceptional host. Rooms are immaculately clean. Mattress unbelievably comfortable. And, an outdoor area that is peaceful, inviting and secluded from noise. The icing on the cake is Kane(sp?) the house dog. If you are traveling to Gettysburg, this is the place to stay. ”

“What an amazing experience! Beautiful historic property, that has been restored with care. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The house is such a lovely place with multiple areas to sit and read and relax. We were on a three week roadtrip, and this bed was the most comfortable one we slept in. Breakfast was perfect. We wished we had booked multiple nights, and will return soon to spend more time. ”

“Very nice place. It has a country feel but it’s close to the Battlefield/ visitor center/ museum and downtown Gettysburg. The beds and room were very comfortable and the grounds were gorgeous. The only things I think would make it better would be some different choices for breakfast (she only makes one thing) and maybe be a TV in the room (although in some ways it’s better not to have it set once it encourages other activities). Overall it definitely earned five stars!👍”
