“I booked 2 nights with my parents and grandparents at the island girl getaway. It was possibly the best beach experience I’ve had yet. Tangier is an incredible island rich with history and certainly worth a visit. We enjoyed the close proximity to the beach and the caretaker, Andy was very helpful and kind. We happened to come to the island when the tides were unusually high occasionally throughout the day, yet I would note that our house seemed to be the only one which had no water near it……

If you are interested in a deeper exploration of this fascinating island, we highly recommend you stay here. The home was recently beautiful renovated and decorated, with pretty much every need met for in home meal preparation. I guarantee you will not need much else! “We loved UpYonda! Erin and Mark are so nice and easy to communicate with. The home is beautiful and there really is everything you need there. The suite upstairs is beautiful and huge!! The view of the water is amazing and the wildlife was stunning. We saw a fox, Blue Heron and got video of an Otter rolling around in the snow on the dock! The stargazing is fantastic and we made a snowman. We loved it. ”

“This was our second stay. It’s extremely convenient to Commonwealth Senior Living where my mother lives. This was a sweet little cottage to relax and regroup after some very hard days of moving her to Assisted Living. ”

“This location worked well for our large group which comprised of 3 generations. The historic style of the home works well with the renovations which include strong WiFi, new appliances and plenty of high-tech flat screen televisions. The area was very quiet and near plenty of shopping locations. This was the perfect home for family time and bonding. The host was responsive to our questions and requests.
