“The friendly owner showed pride in the condition of his few cabins and was very helpful in showing us some birding areas. We also went on a trip looking for a specific bird as well. I had nice view from the private deck of the furthest cabin. The wifi was a bit spotty in a rain storm but I suspect most people have full time data on their phones. It was a good comfortable accommodation for a very reasonable price with tv and hot water and low cost meals were available if needed. Lots of birds on……

“We have stayed at Steve’s and Nancy’s for two weeks and experienced their hospitality, friendliness and such a warmth. Loved the place : super comfortable, very private yet close enough to know the host is there when you need them. Steve and his helper rescued us from a very daring car trouble for which we were so grateful. We enjoyed the tranquility and spectacular views, jacuzzi on the huge terrace was awesome. We will go back next year.”

“Gabriel and Suellen were an absolute joy. I used the place as remote office, and morning coffee in the alcove watching tucans and various other birds was a welcome distraction. “The house is in a neighborhood about halfway up one of the mountain roads from the town of Orosi. Overall, it's a fantastic house very comfortable for our party of 4. Great place to enjoy a glass of wine on the porch and visit in the late afternoons. The kitchen was adequately equipped with coffee maker, microwave, range, fridge. We mostly ate breakfast and brought take out dinners during our stay. The views of the Orosi Valley from the dining area and porch are amazing! Vernon was available and……

“Came to Turrialba for the Canyons- but fell in love with this place. The deck was incredible, great place for mornings- watching the Tucan, watching the clouds roll by all from a comfy chair. The hot tub was a rare novelty. I spent time in other cities in CR, but this place is incredible. Absolutely will be back!”

“The host was wonderful and even brought us a fruit welcome. The home is great and bedrooms are set to either side of spacious common area, full kitchen, and an amazing deck that looks out over the town and volcano. We had an incredible stay!”

“If you want to be mire ir less off the geid in the mountains with spectacular views, this place is great. We made the trip in a small Hyundai, but I would recommend a car with a little more clearance if you have it. Views are amazing and the place is super quiet. Greay patio to enjoy everything.”
