“No. 1 Apartments are the gold standard in St. Andrews. I’d previously stayed in apartments for a larger group, but this was my first stay in an apartment for 1-2 occupants. I loved the room—it was roomy with plenty of space for suitcases, to put my clothes away, etc. Although there was no kitchen, there are enough takeaway breakfast places in the vicinity that I didn’t mind and the Nespresso machine was a plus.”

“The apt was well situated for comfort and easy access to all of St Andrew’s. With 2 locations in town they have a lot of options for single and group travel. I really liked the premium feel to the apartments and was well taken care of in communication with their staff when I had questions during and the option to leave my. “The apartment was nicely updated, decent location in a beautiful Scottish fishing village. The owner was available by phone on a couple of occasions. Check-in would have been simpler with detailed information on how to work the door handle. Amenities as described, we were disappointed at the lack of toiletries as the cute toiletry bottles were one of the deciders between this flat and one of similar price. Photos are doctored for colour; it's nowhere near as orange as it appears! We also had the impression it was bigger from the photos. Communication with the agent was good, she responded quickly and called back fast if we couldn't get hold of her right away. Heating works,……

“Our stay was great and better than I expected. We were there to visit St Andrews university and were very pleased with our rental. First our guests were very helpful and attentive. The apartment was really clean which I appreciated. Some added details were lovely- ear plugs in the night table drawer, Coffee pods, tea bags, cleaning supplies in the kitchen, a book of instructions and suggestions. Honestly, it deserves a 5 stars. I would come back again.”

“Perfect stop over. Close to beach and Cellardyke and Anstruther. Clean m, and everything you need for your stay with lots of things like toiletries and kitchen equipment. Bright as lots of glass ( use an eye mask if you prefer darker). Nice velux windows to see the stars!”

“Excellent. Provided everything we needed for our stay. Enjoyed proccecco which was a lovely touch and very welcoming.Cottage located so near to harbour and restaurants which was great as my husband disabled and can't walk far.”

“Pleasant and very comfortable. Updated and tastefully decorated. Nice bedding. Great location. A bit more compact than I expected, but I'd happily stay there again. Note to VRBO--no one responded when I was having difficulty checking into the property. It should be made clear that there is a separate management company which you have to create a separate app in order to communicate with management (which was closed--no after hours response to our calls).
