“The house was lovely, the yard needed mowing badly. Was disappointed the yard was not fenced. We thought a pet friendly property would have a fenced yard. The neighborhood was awful. We tried to not go out at night. Neighbors had large groups of people outside almost all the time they played loud vulgar music. The yard had little cockle burrs bad. They got into our little 6 pound senior dogs fur so bad we had to take him to the animal er to get them out on Saturday.”

“Traveled to Tx to pick up a puppy. Just a couple hours away from Lumberton and could not pass up the opportunity to stay here. Easy to find with the hosts flawless directions and ease of communications. Knew i would arrive late and self check-in was as easy as the hottub was warm and ready to sooth and soak the road away.. “Nice cozy place with good amenities like hot tub, small firepit, creek access for good fishing and comfortable furnishings inside the house. Our only small let down, if you can even call it that, was that the location was not as secluded as we thought. It's pretty close to town and the other cabins on the property are pretty close by which makes it feel not as secluded as we hoped for. Overall, I would say 8.5 out of 10 rating though. Thanks.”

“Several friends traveled for a local event and shared this house. It was very comfortable and well appointed. It is clear that the home was renovated and decorated carefully. The host, Danina, provided many extras such as two robes in each bedroom, toiletries in case someone forgot something, cookies and bottled water. The kitchen is very well equipped and has brand new appliances. We highly recommend this property if you are visiting the East Texas/WestLouisiana area.”

“We had a great stay at Captain's Cabin. We were looking for a place on Sabine Lake that had great access to our favorite fishing spots and Captain's Cabin suited our needs perfectly. The house and yard were very clean and well appointed. There was ample room for parking and the area is safe and extremely quiet. David, the property owner ,was extremely nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend Captain's Cabin to anyone. ”
