“The house was lovely, the yard needed mowing badly. Was disappointed the yard was not fenced. We thought a pet friendly property would have a fenced yard. The neighborhood was awful. We tried to not go out at night. Neighbors had large groups of people outside almost all the time they played loud vulgar music. The yard had little cockle burrs bad. They got into our little 6 pound senior dogs fur so bad we had to take him to the animal er to get them out on Saturday.”

“It was soo beautiful but just a tad bit scary at night lol. Wish there was a curtain or a way to Deem the glass at night but all in all I wouldn't trade the experience.”

“Several friends traveled for a local event and shared this house. It was very comfortable and well appointed. It is clear that the home was renovated and decorated carefully. The host, Danina, provided many extras such as two robes in each bedroom, toiletries in case someone forgot something, cookies and bottled water. The kitchen is very well equipped and has brand new appliances. We highly recommend this property if you are visiting the East Texas/WestLouisiana area.”

“We had a great stay at Captain's Cabin. We were looking for a place on Sabine Lake that had great access to our favorite fishing spots and Captain's Cabin suited our needs perfectly. The house and yard were very clean and well appointed. There was ample room for parking and the area is safe and extremely quiet. David, the property owner ,was extremely nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend Captain's Cabin to anyone. ”

“We just wanted a quick night away from the hustle and we enjoyed driving a mere 20 miles out of town for this hidden paradise. The stargazer cabin was perfect. Clean, cozy, and the outside scenery complete with hot tub, horses, and gorgeous landscape was the icing on the cake. Everything was clean, check- in was a breeze, and we had no “wants”. My only note is that this cabin is a little too close to some of the other buildings on the property so it didn’t feel as private as I anticipated , that……

“We couldn’t get in the first night. The door lock was jammed. It was late, dark, and neighborhood does not look safe. We had to go to a hotel. We ended up staying at the hotel for safety reasons. ”
