“We only spent a night but what a lovely place it is. An old farm stone home converted/ renovated into a beautiful inn/ hotel. We met the owner ans he gave us a while tour. We didn’t have a chance to have dinner there but from the looks and smell of it… I know I will be coming back to experience that too. We left very early the next morning so we didn’t have time for breakfast ans the owner sent us off with a slice of his chefs pound cake. My husband and I still romanticise over that devine piece……

“Great location, just off the Camino de Santiago. Very friendly hosts, intent on making your stay comfortable. We had read on Hotels.com that checkin ended at 3:30 then restarted in the evening, but this is more a reflection of the restaurant opening hours. The host is available for late afternoon checkin as well. The pre-ordered breakfast for €8.50 is highly recommended - it is waiting outside your door in the morning, giving you flexibility for your morning departure, if you wish to leave……

“Booked this hotel for one night as we had an early flight the following morning. One of the best hotels I've stayed in in Portugal. Room was large and clean, staff where brilliant and it's in an excellent location for access to the metro system and airport. There was also the added bonus of a free airport shuttle. Will stay again”

“Beautiful hotel but you need to tell them you have dogs. We started with a beautiful room but had to move to a cabin outside which was noisy due to garden work then a little cottage which was quickly prepared for us but was cold due to the time of year”
