“Brilliant stay in a chalet overlooking the lake. Would definitely recommend.”

“A quality property with comfortable rooms and beds. Lovely surrounding gardens. Breakfast was rather chaotic due to numbers of guests attending at once. We were asked to wait in the bar area until a table was available, the buffet was rather diminished by then and not replenished. ”

A very useful file on the desk to tell us all about Tewkesbury and useful numbers we made need . And a brief description of the houses history . ”

“Staff that we encountered seemed to give different information about breakfast. On enquiring about format we were told ‘ 9 ish’ no set price as we could select from menu, however on taking breakfast full English was only option. It was a good breakfast but had to chase staff for a cup, more tea/coffee, only gave 2 cubes of sugar ?? If you wanted an early start 9/9.30 is too late . Lovely room in a lovely location but again some small niggles. Had to provide our own shampoo/ shower gel, security……

“Overall v good. One major downside was the heat. Obviously can’t control the weather, but there was no way to cool the room. Thermostat showed 31 degrees and it didn’t cool down all night. New building v nice etc but no air con and not even a fan in the room! Windows barely open, no doubt a safety feature, but again meant unable to cool a very hot room.”

“We were welcomed by lovely staff giving an immediate good impression. Our room was small and a bit dark, but had everything we needed. Our dinner was amazing, beautifully presented and generous. Thanks to the weather we were able to sit in a beautiful garden looking onto the village green. Breakfast was brilliant. All the food is locally sourced and delicious. As to the cost, we were delighted at the value for money. Lovely pub with loads of character and lovely staff.”
