“The owners and staff were warm, welcoming and always willing to help. Very nice people. Loved that they had recycle bins throughout the property and separate bins in the villas for organics and other materials. The property and trails were beautiful, the flowers, plants, fish pond and ducks were nice to see. There were lots of birds to see and hear. Overall a great place and cant wait to go back.”

“Comfortable studio apartment, well stocked kitchen and lovely view of the beach. Marvin was a great host- really responsive and on hand with anything we needed. Castara is lovely little town and the apartment was in an excellent location. We were unsure what to expect when booking but we had the perfect stay and would return again!”

“Absolutely loved this property! For anyone wanting to completely detach and reset I highly recommend Castara Retreats. I stayed in Coco Palm and it was immaculate. The only thing I suggest is to bring towels because they do not switch them daily. Other than that I have no complaints. Staff was excellent and inviting. “Pros 1. Lovely quiet neighborhood. 2. Central location and close to everything. 3. The apartment is just as the pictures and very spacious Cons 1. Very little kitchen utensils. We had to borrow pots and pans from a friend in order to cook. Also the kitchen seemed to be hardly used therefore there was a lot of dust in the cupboards. 2. The washing machine did not work. 3. No cable TV. But I guess this is my fault because it was never advertised. 4. Lots of electrical issues. Two of the four……
