“My sisters and I gather annually without our spouses/kids for a girls weekend. We love the northern neck (it's relatively equal distance for all of us) and this house was amazing. Even though it was February and we couldn't enjoy the water and pool, the views were incredible. The house was exactly as described, communications with the host were stellar, the house was amazingly clean, the beds were super comfy and the location to great northern neck restaurants and fun shops was perfect. “The house is lovely and the view of the river is gorgeous - especially the sunsets. There are huge windows looking out into the the trees and the river. There was plenty of space for all 8 of us. The kitchen has everything you would need - even popover pans! The owners were wonderful: when the kitchen faucet broke, they fixed it immediately.The private beach is lovely too - although we couldn't really use it that much given it was December. It would be great to come back in the summer.”

“Nice property however needs a deep cleaning….refrigerator, under beds, sticky floors, and ceiling fan definitely needs attention. Nice area. The dining area antique table and chairs are not comfortable…the rest of the couches and chairs are good…lots of room and nice game room.”

We especially enjoyed looking through the extensive book collection (we would have loved more time to read!), sitting on the screened deck overlooking a wooded area, and the well laid out kitchen.
