“Overall, the stay was pretty good. The house was well kept and beautiful. I just wish the owner was a bit more responsive because the heat in the house was not consistent. It was 20 degrees outside and no matter what you changed the thermostat to, the top floor felt like a sauna and the bottom floor was freezing. When we were sleeping, we had to open the windows of the bedrooms to not get smothered by heat, and it was specifically unbearable in my case being on the top bunk, near the ceiling……

“My girlfriend and I booked Dove Nook for a little getaway in early spring and could not have been happier. The cabin has everything you could need, and the property has amenities to spare. You have full run of the grounds, including feeding all the cute animals. Alyssa, the host, was extremely friendly and helpful, and provided us with a bag of feed for the animals and a bunch of fresh eggs for cooking. Nearby there's the town of Jim Thorpe, which is incredibly charming in it's own right, and……

“Two day stay. Overall it was very comfortable although sparsely furnished. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. The only negative was we didn’t feel comfortable making breakfast or heating up soup with the cookware provided. All had a nonstick finish that was flaking off.”

“Good overall but lacking a few small essentials - only 3 forks provided and 0 teaspoons. There were a few extra large tablespoons. No kitchen towels or hand dish soap provided. Only 2 washcloths for 4 day stay for 2. Window blinds has several broken louvers. No plastic shower curtain, just extra long cloth one that presented slip hazard when showering. Also wall damage on both sides of tub. Otherwise good and very clean.”
