“The staff is very nice. Book some tours through their partner agency because they have friendly and knowledgeable guides. A few friendly cats in the area, buy some whiskers from the grocery store and make some friends. Sloths in the tree outside. The beach is a few feet away if that’s your thing as well, very shallow water but a refreshing dip. The jungle park is just down the street, 6km out and back close to the beach with some good wildlife. Friendly locals, probably a bit crowded during busy……

Maverick, the hotel front desk concierge, was very friendly and patient with us. He welcomed us on our first day and answered all of our questions. Maverick arranged all our tours with Andy for the night tour and Abel for the morning boat tour. Both did a fantastic job, but especially Abel, who went above and beyond on the wildlife tour. “Brilliant hotel in a great beach-front location. The room was very large and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was very good. The staff were all very nice and extremely helpful, particularly Leo who was regularly ensuring that we were happy with everything. Breakfast is made to order to suit your preferences and was very tasty. Nice hammocks to relax in. The staff even took our luggage to the dock for us”

“Tortuga Lodge was an amazing stay. The staff was incredibly friendly. The tours available were fun, informative, and worth it! The staff was very helpful in helping us schedule our tours. Definitely recommend. A quick note. Transportation by boat is very difficult after hours. While the staff was able to connect us with a private transfer, it took alot of communication. ”
