“This home is by far the nicest one we’ve stayed at on our many visits to Alaska!! It is immaculate and well stocked, down to the soft comfy blankets to snuggle under. The beds are queens and a king, which is hard to find, and bathrooms were roomy and stocked with shower toiletries. The hilltop setting makes you feel like you are in a treehouse; we loved sitting on the deck and listening to the birds. It’s a perfect location, too, just a quick hop into downtown Talkeetna and to lots of hiking……

“We had the most relaxing and energizing trip at The Airstrip. May be the best hot tub in the state. Comfortable living area and well appointed kitchen with espresso! Sleeping was a dream with modern comfortable king beds. We enjoyed daily saunas and plenty of reading. Walking distance to town and great access to skiing and fat biking trails around Talkeetna. Excellent winter destination!”

“Jim's spot was the perfect place to call home while exploring Talkeetna. Not too far from the town but also so secluded and quiet. “House was cold when we arrived. Windows were open...I think to air out the cabin from the wood smoke smell. It smelled that previosly someone couldnt get the fire going (wet wood or poor draft). Once we closed the wondows the cabin warmed. Alternative heating to just using wood would be a good idea...especially on cooler days. Overall the host was great and the cabin cosy. ”

“The house was very cute and clean. It was nicely equipped. We loved having a sauna. We loved the house and location other than it being a little louder outside than expected near busy road. With being over age 50, we did not take in consideration, having to climb up and down the ladder to the bed and needing to use the restroom in the middle of the night.”
