“Have not stayed here for several years. It has improved a lot since our last visit! Excellent reception employees. Hotel is now surrounded with a well designed and pleasant looking security fence. New paint. The hallway has new carpet and light fixtures which much improves the ambiance. Although these rooms are not fancy, nor do they have carpeting, they have freshened up the decor and they are clean. Excellent value for the cost as well. Will be staying here in the future while in the Arcata……

“We had a great stay. It’s a unique experience in a historical hotel. It felt like we stepped back in time in a really good way. We loved that we could walk around town to all of the cool shops and restaurants. There was a farmers market right out the front door on Saturday morning and it was beautiful. It was a breath of fresh air from the usual corporate hotels that don’t have character and charm. The staff was super helpful. We are already planning our next visit.”

“The motel is the most dirty and most expensive one in my self-driving traveling history. Used toilet paper is floating in the toilet.the floor is covered by dirty oils.Service is very bad.Receptionist is impolite.”

“We appreciated the location, view and cozy guesthouse. We wanted to be close to the university as we were visiting our son. The kitchen windows and main entrance face the main home so there is less privacy but that wasn’t a big issue for us. The best highlights of the home for me was the great view, easy parking, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, warm fireplace in master, and comfortable seating in the living area. The laundry machines were an added bonus for our son. It is a very relaxing……

“We recently stayed at this stunning VRBO home on the Trinity River, and it exceeded our expectations in every way.The property is perfectly situated right on the banks of the river, offering breathtaking views and peaceful surroundings. “Nothing bad to say about the staff.... That said, this place was very dirty. I don't think they really ever clean it. Some examples: The floor was so dirty our feet were brown. The walls had goop on them The lamp had a layer of dust that showed they never cleaned it. I would rather stay in my car than here again. ”

“The backyard and beautiful scenery is absolutely wonderful. We visited in the fall and the colors were unforgettable. We loved the private river access and the house was perfect for a friends trip retreating from busy lives and escaping to the woods. Would certainly stay again! Thank you! ”
