“We had a wonderful experience here. Although we never met the hosts, we felt their hospitality met us at the door with a warm welcoming of cookies in the greeting basket! My husband and I talked about that homey touch all evening. This home is decorated very simply, yet beautiful. We found the simplicity to be very practical, and the beautiful, simple touches to be welcoming. The views from the kitchen, living room, and master bedroom were stunning. “This home we so comfortable! The outside landscaping needed some work, but once inside, we were pleasantly surprised. It was clean, stocked with anything we’d need, and so cozy. We drove into town, which took no time, and were around the best restaurants! We want to come back for sure. Just a note for those with littles, the 3rd bedroom upstairs handles three beds, which is great, but there is no door at the bottom or top of the stairs. Had to keep an eye on our toddler. Everyone loved this……

“My husband and I spend a lot of time traveling by motorcycle and have stayed in 50 vacation rentals. This is exactly the kind of place we look for when booking our trips; quiet, clean and comfortable. The house is nicely decorated with everything that we needed to relax at the end of the day. We really enjoyed sitting on the front porch listening to the birds and watching the fireflies. Would definitely stay again if we come back to Mars Hill.”

“Brought my daughter and grandson to visit the Biltmore King Tut exhibit. Needed and overnight place to stay and came across Little Gem Cottage on Vrbo. Cute cozy little place. The bed was very comfortable! We enjoyed our stay.”

“Great place for family time.”

“We had a wonderful stay in this immaculate home! The rooms are large yet cozy and the kitchen had everything we could possibly need to cook dinner. My family loved the hot tub. The hosts made sure we had propane fur the grill and even came personally when there was a problem with the AC. The workman came right out and quickly fixed the issue. The communication with the host was excellent. We’d definitely stay here again!”

“The property is even better than the pictures. The house has been completely renovated and offers a great place to stay. We enjoyed starting and ending our days in the covered porch looking at the lake and the mountains.”
