“The casita is situated on acreage, next to the host's home. Hosts were non invasive, yet very friendly, helpful, and knowledgable about the area. When asked, they made several activity suggestions that we loved. The property is away from city lights, however sounds from the major roadway could be heard. But that didn't take away from the pleasure of hearing coyotes howl and having wandering javelinas pass through. Amenities are simple, but sufficient (internet, but no TV). We loved our……

“Horse Thief Ranch was a perfect place to stay. We stayed in Casita A and it had everything we were looking for and more. It was a perfect homebase and central to a lot of the hiking around the area. Shower was amazing, coffee maker was instant, and the bed was so comfy. Also can't beat the mountain view from the bedroom. Kendra (owner) was fantastic with communication and we felt safe the entire time. The hot tub was so amazing after hiking all day. This location does have other rental units so……

“My husband and I stayed here for a getaway from the Michigan winter. It was perfect for the two of us. It was well stocked with necessities and very clean. Bill was a great host! Loved the hot tub!”

“Great trail to walk the dogs on the river and river bed. Restful and quiet neighborhood. We will be back.”

“Lovely stay for a couple of nights with my daughter. Everything we needed, plus free use of a couple of cruiser bikes that we used on the path adjacent to the property (just had to fill the tires). We also enjoyed a couple of short jogs through the neighborhood and loved meeting the pair of emus and shaggy sheep a couple of blocks over! The casita bed was super comfy and it was incredibly quiet. Owner was very responsive.”
