“We just loved it1 The property is so well appointed. It's decorated and updated but keeps some original charm. The owner provides plenty of consumables and linens/towels which is such a treat. It was clean and efficient. We did not cook much, we ordered out. It was the perfect place and location to gather with local friends and family. The owner was highly responsive and a generous host!! We have found our place in Altoona!”

“The condo was easy to get to and details in the guestbook provided by the hosts helped me easily locate the unit. I had one question that was quickly addressed--note that the lock doesnt need ti make a loud click sound to be locked!--and appreciated the hosts checking in on me thru the app. The unit provided all I needed and I appreciated the little touches like cold water and granola bars. The unit was quiet even with the roof work. The pool and access to trails were lovely!Hope to visit again……

“This is a comfortable, small house on a gravel road in the woods near Blue Mountain State Park. Kitchen is well furnished. Property manager Tori was very helpful when we couldn't figure out how to switch from a/c to heat. A great back deck with shade from big trees. Mostly quiet--an occasional car goes by on a bigger road nearby, and one afternoon there was target practice or fire crackers. A good place to relax and get away, but the wifi works if you want to be connected.”

“This is the second time we have stayed at The Oarhouse and would highly recommend it. Everything was clean and well-cared for. We appreciated the extra bedding and towels as well as the washer and dryer. We found the kitchen to be well stocked with all the basic supplies. If you need anything else there is a grocery store in nearby Coalport. Our family members who slept in the loft said the mattresses could use upgraded as they caused them some hip and back discomfort. Understandably, this is……

“The host was extremely efficient and responded to me very quick. I told him my family wanted to bbq and he went out and bought a brand new grill. The electricity in the area had unfortunately went out for few hours and I expressed my concern and he reached out to management to find out what was going on and how long it would be and relayed the info to me. The indoor pool was really nice and private. The external view of the compound/resort was not appealing due to renovation and there were a lot……

“We had a great stay. Everything was as described and communication with the Owner was great too. We did receive some automated emails from a previous property manager that was no longer in effect so that was a bit confusing, but did not detract from our experience at all. We stayed in February and went to Punxsutawney for Groundhog Day which was a lot of fun. The cabin sits on a beautiful property - it would be fantastic in the warmer months.
