“Our family of four stayed for two nights and used this as a home base for a skiing at White Grass, tubing at Canaan Valley Resort, and hiking at Blackwater Falls State Park. The home was well-appointed, and the hosts were very welcoming... they live right next door and are available to help if needed. The home is full lovely antique furniture and was very comfortable for us. Love that they are dog friendly!”

“We enjoyed our stay and the comforts of the Fox Den! It was a great base camp for daily mountain adventures and we appreciated the cleanliness, the outdoor space and the fully equipped kitchen. The only downsides of our stay include the noise from the upstairs renters—we had a hard time sleeping because you could hear their every movement and it lasted into the early morning hours. “We are graduates of the FBI National Academy. Each year they host a “training” at Camp Dawson in Kingwood, WV for police officers who have attended the academy. We’ve been attending these events for over 25 years. Staying at Alpine is always a treat. Your house was extremely nice and totally comfortable for four old men! We would certainly recommend it to others.”
